Betty Pilley has experimented with pastels, oils and charcoal, but has come to appreciate the freshness and speed she finds in watercolor art. Although born in Jefferson, Texas, she has spent most of her life in San Diego County. Betty has shown her work at Hemet Valley Art Association Gallery, Brandon Gallery in Fallbrook, Santa Rosa Plateau, and Redlands Gallery. She has won many awards and has been names “Artist o the Year” several times. She currently teaches a watercolor class at HVAA to a “great group of artists who really keep me on my toes”.
